Meanwhile, I just want to comment that so many people - especially creatives - get paid for exactly what you mentioned: their ideas! I think novel ideas have great economic value. You bring to the world your personal life experiences, intelligence, wit, and brave heart which combine to manifest some of the most beautiful and unique expressions. It's a talent! And we are better for hearing your ideas (like this podcast!). So I think it's quite right that you get paid for such efforts.
